The City of Lester Prairie follows the state building code. A majority of work done on your home will require a permit. You should check before you start any work to verify what information is required to submit with your permit application.
There is a flat fee for pulling a permit for re-roof, re-siding or re-window, provided there are no changes to the replacement. The fee for a general permit is $51.00 each. ($45.00 plus a $1.00 service charge plus License lookup fee - if multiple permits, only one will have the License lookup fee). If you are changing roofing material or replacing decking it will require an actual building permit versus the general permit and will need to be turned into MNSpect.
Any window replacement that has a change in size or is an egress would not qualify under the flat general permit fee.
